Jimmy John’s going global

Jimmy John’s is going global, opening soon in Canada and Latin America, according to a press release from the chain’s parent company, Inspire Brands.

“For 40 years, Jimmy John’s has taken a straightforward approach to making ridiculously good, quality sandwiches and it’s now time to share them with the world,” Michael Haley, Inspire’s president and managing director, said in a press release. “In a global restaurant environment where simplicity is paramount, we’re confident this brand is primed for extensive international growth.”

Foodtastic, a franchisor of over 1,1000 restaurants in Canada, will lead the Canadian expansion. El Salvador-based Franquicias Internacionales, which owns several businesses across food and beverage, digital media and logistics, will oversee the Latin American growth.

Jimmy John’s has over 2,700 locations.
