Jersey Mike’s raises record-breaking $25M

Jersey Mike’s Subs and customers rallied to raise more than $25 million to help 200 local charities during its 14th Annual Month of Giving in March. The chain’s nearly 3,000 locations accepted donations throughout the month, building to the Day of Giving on March 27, when restaurants donated 100% of sales, not just profits, to local charities, including hospitals, youth organizations and food banks.

“It’s incredibly heart-warming to see our customers rally to support their local charities by showing up to buy subs,” Caroline Jones, SVP of Jersey Mike’s Franchise Systems and daughter of founder Peter Cancro, said in a company press release. “Day of Giving is our busiest day, and we look forward to it all year. Thank you to our customers, franchise owners, team members and charity partners for making a difference!”

The total exceeds the $21 million raised during last year’s campaign and put the chain over the $100 million mark, raising $113 million for local charities since Month of Giving began in 2011.
