Slim Chickens opens in UK’s Kidderminster

Arkansas-based Slim Chickens is opening a restaurant in Kidderminster, United Kingdom, under the direction of multi-unit operators, Boparan Restaurant Group and Sainsbury’s, which own several Slim Chickens and other restaurant brands in England.

“With strong international expansion on the horizon, we are thrilled to share our breakthrough better-chicken brand to Kidderminster,” Jackie Lobdell, vice president of franchise development at Slim Chickens, said in a company press release. “Operating groups like Boparan Restaurant Group and Sainsbury are a great example of the kind of partners we’re looking for overseas, and we’re eager to extend our southern comfort food with more people across the pond.”

The better-chicken brand has opened over 210 locations across the U.S. and U.K. The brand is renowned for its beloved high-quality, cook-to-order tenders and passionate group of followers within the markets it operates. It has more than 1,100 locations in development.
