New Orleans-born coffeehouse to open its sixth location in Dallas/Ft. Worth area
PJ’s Coffee is letting the good times roll with the Soul of Coffee coming to North Richland Hills in February.
Whether it’s inside the 2,200-square-foot coffeehouse or at the drive-thru, fans of craftsman coffee rooted in pure southern hospitality will soon be able to enjoy that and more at 5555 Rufe Snow Dr., at the corner of Browning Dr. and minutes west of Richland High School.
In anticipation for the opening, PJ’s is hiring up to 15 brand ambassadors (baristas). It’s the perfect opportunity for high school students eligible to earn College scholarship money through the PJ’s Coffee college program.
“You may have seen coffee that says, ‘freshly roasted’ on the bag, but we doubt you’ve had coffee that has PJ’s commitment to freshness,” said Franchise Owner Andrew Browning. “That freshness is from opening new roasters every time PJ’s opens a new location to ensure the best product. We do everything to make sure we deliver on that promise. It’s how we do business and how we live our lives.”
The North Richland Hills location marks the sixth PJ’s Coffee in the DFW area and the 16th in Texas. Once open, PJ’s will serve customers its premium coffee and fresh baked beignets beginning at 5am most days. With the opening of the around right the corner, PJ’s Coffee is also hiring for all positions. Those that are interested may apply here.

Phyllis Jordan, a pioneer in the coffee industry, founded PJ’s Coffee of New Orleans in 1978, and demonstrated that better beans, superior roasting techniques, and pure passion for the art of coffeemaking mattered. In 2008, the company was purchased by New Orleans natives and brothers, Paul, Steven, and Scott Ballard. PJ’s Coffee serves a wide variety of hot, iced and frozen coffee beverages using only the best quality Arabica coffee beans, as well as organic tea and fresh breakfast pastries. PJ’s Original Cold Brew Ice Coffee is brewed daily using a special cold-drip process that protects the flavor and strength of the beans, while producing a coffee that is two-thirds less acidic – a process and technique developed by its founder and used for more than 40 years at all PJ’s locations. Bags of whole bean coffee and single serve cups of PJ’s Coffee are available for sale in-store and online. With more than 145 operating stores, including four international locations, PJ’s Coffee continues to grow in the U.S. and abroad.
