Interface tech to power fast-casual chain WaBa Grill

Interface Systems will provide its restaurant network-technology-in-a-box solution to the fast-casual restaurant chain WaBa Grill Franchise.

This solution is expected to transform the restaurant chain’s network and voice infrastructure across its more than 190 franchise locations in the US.

It is said to be Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliant.

The tool comprises network boxes with purpose-built network and VoIP routers, firewall devices, Wi-Fi access points, and switches, along with 4G LTE wireless WAN backup.

The vendor stated that WaBa’s franchises can do away with loss of sales and disruption by eliminating network downtime with this solution.

WaBa can now concentrate on improving employee productivity by opting for Interface’s managed network and voice services.

The restaurant can also deploy new devices and applications easily to offer consistent voice support to its customers across all locations.

Interface has also developed a customised microsite for WaBa.

This will help new franchise operators sign up to get approvals for technology solutions with pricing and contract terms, as well as provide them with a suite of online resources, including best practice installation guides for franchisees.

WaBa Grill was established in 2006 and has a strong presence on the West Coast. It is now expanding across the US.

In order to streamline new customer initiatives, the company wanted to have a framework with easy replication for its franchisees.

WaBa Grill IT director Adam Kinsinger said: “Negotiating internet connectivity contracts with multiple providers was a persistent challenge for our franchise operators.

“Our previous network service providers required employees at the location to troubleshoot hardware issues, a task they aren’t trained for. We realised that franchisees deserved a better solution and that’s when we decided to look for a managed service provider with innovative solutions.”
