Situated a stone’s throw from the Strip, The Lexi was formerly known as the Artisan Hotel. This once-infamous spot was well-known to locals as a go-to destination for risqué late-night parties. Today, the 64-room Lexi stands as the pioneering cannabis-friendly hotel in Sin City.
“While we embrace cannabis, we’re not solely about it,” remarks Alexandre Rizk, the 44-year-old real estate mogul who, along with a select group of investors, acquired The Artisan in January 2022 for $12 million. Rizk emphasizes that while The Lexi is open to cannabis use, it doesn’t retail it. Moreover, guests who don’t partake won’t find themselves engulfed in clouds of smoke.
In early June, The Lexi opened its doors to the public, following a $3 million revamp overseen by Rizk. A significant feature of these renovations is the sophisticated air filtration system installed on the fourth floor. Here, suites are whimsically numbered 420a, 420b, and 420c to hint at their cannabis-friendly nature. Only those who have reserved rooms on this floor, with prices ranging from $180 to $400 per night, are allowed to use cannabis. However, public spaces, like the pool where bikini tops are optional, maintain a strict no-smoking policy.
