Freebirds World Burrito re-introduces Texas Smoked Brisket

Fast-casual restaurant chain Freebirds World Burrito has relaunched its Texas Smoked Brisket for a limited time across all its 65 locations in Texas, US.

From 25 March 2024, customers can order the brisket with any entrée, including burritos, bowls and salads, while supplies last.

The brisket is known for its traditional Texan preparation and quality ingredients. It is dry-rubbed with a Texan spice blend of salt, pepper, garlic and paprika, then slow-cooked for 16 hours to ensure a tender texture.

The smoking process uses a mix of white oak, hickory and pecan wood.

Freebirds World Burrito CEO Alex Eagle said: “We are incredibly excited to bring back our Texas Smoked Brisket to Freebirds World Burrito.

“Our brisket is a labour of love, cooked low and slow to perfection, and infused with authentic Texan flavours. It’s the best time of year to visit Freebirds to enjoy our classic Texan Brisket on our new entrée, the Texas Brisket Smokeshow.”

Freebirds offers layers of Spanish rice and pinto beans as a base for the burrito or bowl.

Cheese, corn salsa, jalapenos, hot tomatillo and BBQ sauce add complexity.

The re-introduction of the Texas Smoked Brisket coincides with National Burrito Day on 4 April 2024, when Freebirds will offer $6 burritos all day.
