Capriotti’s Sandwich signs franchise agreement in Philippines

US-based fast-casual restaurant brand Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop and its subsidiary Wing Zone have signed a master franchise agreement with VIVA International Food & Restaurants in the Philippines.

The agreement is part of the resturants’ strategy to bolster their presence in the Southeast Asian region over the next five years.

Capriotti’s and Wing Zone chief development and operating officer David Bloom said: “Whether they be communities here in the US or overseas, our team, as well as our franchise partners at VIVA Foods, are united in a shared commitment to introduce the Philippines to the quality and innovation that is inherent to our family of brands.”

Under the deal, VIVA International Food & Restaurants intends to launch 50 units in the Philippines.

VIVA’s previously experienced team introduced food brands from the US, Japan, Italy, Thailand and Manila to consumers and markets throughout Southeast Asia.

Capriotti’s is known for its in-house slow-roasting whole, all-natural turkeys while Wing Zone is known for its cooked-to-order, flavour-fused chicken wings.

In November 2022, Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop and Wing Zone signed a 50-unit deal with Village Food Courts in India.

VFC agreed to introduce both brands at its food court venues and select delivery kitchens in India over the next five years.
